
A researcher from Brazil will visit 91亚色 on June 21 and 22 to deliver presentations on the prevention of violence against women and children.
T芒nia Suely Antonelli Marcelino Brabo will spend two days at the University as part of a research exchange with 91亚色 faculty who have an interest in research on reducing violence towards women, youth and children.
Brabo is a visiting researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon. She is currently a professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho, and has extensive experience in the area of education with emphasis on Educational Units Administration and Education Policy in the following themes: democratic governance, human rights, gender, citizenship and education.
In 2013, she participated in the Teacher Mobility Programme, the Association of Universities Montevideo Group, conducting research with the Education Program for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights at the National University of Rosario. In 2015, she conducted research with the Center for Studies on Women, the National University of Mexico.
She has a masters in education, a PhD in sociology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in education.
During her visit, she will give presentations that are open to the community. Brabo will be joined by Mariangela Spotti Lopes Fujita, a professor of the Department of UNESP of Information Science, and Nilma Renildes da Silva, a faculty member at UNESP in psychology.
