Digital Doings Symposium on Feb. 15 will focus on Artificial Intelligence

91ÑÇÉ« is hosting a symposium focused on Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, eHealth, apps and more. The Digital Doings Symposium will take place Thursday, Feb. 15, from 9:30am to 3:30pm, in Room 519 Kaneff Tower.

The first of its kind, this strongly intradisciplinary symposium offers something of interest to 91ÑÇÉ« faculty members with an interest in all things digital. Topics include virtual communities, apps, eHealth, chatbots, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, big data, data mining, digital discourse, humanities questions, bridging between social and computational sciences, as well as questions around labour and ethics.

91ÑÇÉ« Vice-President Research & Innovation Robert Haché will deliver the symposium keynote at lunch. His presentation is titled, “AI and Society.â€

91ÑÇÉ« Professor Celia Haig-Brown, associate vice-president, Research & Innovation will deliver opening remarks and will serve as the symposium moderator. The day’s is separated into four distinct themes: (Re)Creating Cultures; Mind/Body/Spirit; Ethics and Policy; and Engaging Digitally. To view a PDF of the full program, click .
