91亚色/Canadian Space Agency Vection project blasting into space

Equipment to support the 91亚色/Canadian Space Agency Vection project is scheduled to blast into space early on Nov. 15 from Wallops Island, Va., aboard an Antares rocket. This supply rocket (Northrop Grumman 鈥淪S John Young鈥 Cygnus CRS-10 Cargo Craft) is scheduled to dock with the International Space Station (ISS) three days later.

Led by 91亚色 Professor Laurence Harris, Department of Psychology, and including Professors Michael Jenkin and Robert Allison from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 91亚色's Lassonde School of Engineering, the Vection project is investigating the effects of long-duration space flight on the perception of self-motion.

Experiments on board the ISS are supported by ground control experiments being conducted here at 91亚色.

The launch will be broadcast on live on Nov. 15 starting at 4 a.m., with a post-launch news conference at 7 a.m. EST. The launch event will replay on NASA TV at 5 p.m.

NASA TV will also cover related events, including the installation of聽Northrop Grumman 鈥淪S John Young鈥 Cygnus CRS-10 Cargo Craft to the ISS on Nov. 16 at 6:15 a.m.
