
For the eighth year, the Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) at 91ÑÇÉ« will host a golf tournament supporting the and guests will be invited to tee off on June 22.
The memorial tournament, which, to date, has contributed more than $20,000 to the award and has supported 43 students, will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Shawneeki Golf Club at 18543 Woodbine Ave., Sharon, Ont.
The $140 ticket includes green fees, power cart, a barbecue lunch, dinner, prize table, great raffle prizes and a $10,000 hole-in-one chance, with $22 from each ticket sold directed toward the fund.
Additional ways to support the fund can done by:
- sponsoring a hole for $100 – and in appreciation, your name or the name of your company will be prominently displayed at a hole;
- participating in the 50/50 putting contest;
- providing an item for the prize table; and/or
- donating directly to the fund, online or at the tournament.
The tournament schedule is as follows:
11 a.m. – Check-in at the pro shop and 50/50 putting contest
12 p.m. – Barbecue lunch
1 p.m. Shotgun tee off and Texas scramble
4:30 p.m. – Après golf in the clubhouse
5:30 p.m. – Ribs and chicken dinner
6:30 p.m. – Various score prizes and skill prizes, and raffle winners
7 p.m. – Adjourn
