A committee has been struck to nominate a successor to 91亚色鈥檚 Chancellor Gregory Sorbara. The committee is inviting the community to submit suggestions of individuals for this important and prestigious position.
The established criteria for the Chancellor of 91亚色 are as follows:
鈥淭he Chancellor of 91亚色 should be a highly esteemed individual who is regarded as a visionary leader able to command the respect of the University community. They should appreciate and embody the core values of the University as set out in 91亚色's Mission Statement. The Chancellor embraces 91亚色鈥檚 accomplishments and aspirations and carries out the duties of office in a way that enhances the University's and students鈥 welfare. With a passion for higher education, they should have the capacity to convey 91亚色鈥檚 values to the public and to government and to remind the University of the evolving needs and expectations of society. The Chancellor should have the time to confer the University's degrees at Convocation, to play an active role in the University and to participate in its ongoing life. They should not have been Chancellor of another University nor be in a conflict or apparent conflict of commitment between a duty to 91亚色 and to another University.鈥

Les crit猫res de s茅lection sont comme suit :
芦 La Chanceli猫re ou le Chancelier de l鈥橴niversit茅 doit 锚tre une personne de haute estime vue et reconnue comme cheffe/chef de file visionnaire pouvant s鈥檃ttirer le respect de la communaut茅 universitaire. Elle ou il doit 茅pouser les valeurs de l鈥橴niversit茅 telles que d茅crites 脿 m锚me l鈥櫭塶onc茅 de mandat de 91亚色. La Chanceli猫re ou le Chancelier embrase tant les r茅alisations que les ambitions de 91亚色 et s鈥檃cquitte de ses obligations d鈥檕ffice dans le sens du plus grand bien-锚tre de l鈥橴niversit茅 et des 茅tudiantes et des 茅tudiants. Passionn茅 d鈥檈nseignement sup茅rieur, elle ou il doit pouvoir communiquer les valeurs de 91亚色 au grand public et aux gouvernements et rappeler 脿 ce dont la soci茅t茅 a besoin et s鈥檃ttend d鈥檈lle. La Chanceli猫re ou le Chancelier doit 锚tre suffisamment disponible pour participer aux c茅r茅monies de graduation et y d茅cerner les dipl么mes, s鈥檈ngager aupr猫s de l鈥橴niversit茅 et activement prendre part 脿 la vie universitaire. Elle ou il ne doit pas avoir 茅t茅 Chanceli猫re ou Chancelier d鈥檜ne autre universit茅 ou 锚tre astreint de responsabilit茅s aupr猫s d鈥檜ne autre universit茅 qui sont en conflits avec son r么le 脿 91亚色.&苍产蝉辫;禄
