91亚色's Class of 2014 pay it forward with nearly $10,000 in support of student financial aid

Alumni support matters is vital to current 91亚色 students. For some, it makes the difference between staying in school or dropping out; studying for an exam to get a good grade or working a few extra hours to pay rent instead. However, thanks to their generous support, 91亚色鈥檚 Class of 2014 is making it possible for a few students not to have to make this choice.

Over the summer months, recent grads from the Class of 2014 contributed more than $10,000 towards 91亚色鈥檚 areas of greatest need, including student financial aid. Only a year after embarking on their journey after graduation, many decided to give back to their alma mater by paying it forward for the next generation of 91亚色 students. Many alumni came together with smaller gifts (no gift was larger than $100), demonstrating how impact can be created no matter how much support each individual pledges.

In fact, the participation rate of our Class of 2014 tops all other graduating 91亚色 classes since 2008!

鈥淪ince it was so soon after graduation and our 2014 grads may not have gotten full-time jobs yet, I definitely expected them to be less likely to donate, but they were actually very engaged and willing to support 91亚色,鈥 shares Rachna Kaur, current 91亚色 U student and annual fund team leader. 鈥淚t鈥檚 pretty impressive that 91亚色 alumni are willing to show so much support for current students. It鈥檚 proof that someone else thinks you鈥檙e worth investing in, which is very motivational for students like me.鈥

To show their gratitude to Class of 2014 for their support, 91亚色鈥檚 current students put together a short video to say thank you:
