This is bilingualism.
In March, 91亚色 celebrated its diversity and commitment to French-English bilingualism with a new cross-campus initiative鈥斺Ensemble, en Fran莽ais鈥 or 鈥Together, in French.鈥
This event, in recognition of 鈥淟a semaine internationale de la Francophonie鈥 - or 鈥Francophonie Week鈥 - was a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, Glendon College, and the Office of Alumni Engagement.
Together we delivered exciting programs that engaged both students and alumni鈥攊ncluding career panels and a resume writing workshop. The excitement continued as the organizers from both campuses delivered additional performance programs in the arts, music, food, literature, and poetry.
To kick off the week, bilingual alumni from a variety of programs, including French Studies, Communications, and Environmental Studies, spoke to students about the value of bilingualism in the workplace, and provided insights into an array of career paths.
Students were excited to hear about ways in which they can apply their language skills to launch careers in sales, banking, human resources, and government administration.
Alumni were enthusiastic about coming back and re-connecting with 91亚色.
