
From glaciers and permafrost to Arctic sea ice, Dr. Chimira Andres focuses on understanding ice-rich landscapes across Earth and Mars. She has contributed to international space missions, serving as aÌýcolourÌýand stereo surface imaging system (CaSSIS) target lead on the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter Mission with the European Space Agency (ESA), and as a scientist on the Canadian Lunar Utility Vehicle (LUV) and Lunar Rover Mission (LRM) with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). She also serves as the vice president and glaciology instructor with Girls* on Ice Canada and has worked on youth and educator training initiatives at the CSA and ESA, developing space-related teaching resources and coordinating national-level student space missions. She is one of four scientists featured in the upcoming documentaryÌýShe Measures the Earth.Ìý
