91ÑÇÉ« Music Alumni Network

We are thrilled to announce the reactivation of 91ÑÇÉ«'s Music Alumni Network (YUMAN). This is an exciting opportunity for our music alumni to reconnect, share experiences, and collaborate on new projects. With events, networking opportunities, and creative collaborations on the horizon, the future of the Music Alumni Network is filled with promise.

As a recently formed network, YUMAN is currently seeking new members. If you are interested in joining YUMAN or hearing about their upcoming initiatives, please contact Yasmine Mensah, Alumni Engagement Officer, at mensahy@yorku.ca.  

Devonte Ellis

Meet Devonte, a recent graduate of 91ÑÇÉ«'s specialized honours Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Music and is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Education. While at 91ÑÇÉ«, he was an active member within the music and School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD) community partaking in the Media Club, Music Education Student Association at 91ÑÇÉ« and various ensembles. He also held a work/study position as the Website and Social Media Assistant for the Music Department working closely with AMPD's communications and recruitment team. Devonte aspires to make a change in the education system arts curriculum and to show the importance of arts education in our lives. Devonte is excited to work as the Co-chair to bring further enriching opportunities to our music alumni.

Dulce Martinez

Meet Dulce, a recent graduate of 91ÑÇÉ«'s Specialized Honours program in Music. During her time at 91ÑÇÉ«, she was a member of the Creative Arts Students Association, Student Alumni Ambassador Program, and held a work/study position as a Student Success Mentor with the Office of Advising and Integrated Student Services. Dulce is passionate about community engagement and committed to empowering YUMAN members through cultivating a nurturing and supportive environment.
