Curatorial Team
The Curatorial Team develops the festival鈥檚 central themes and vision, selects and guides program content (panels, workshops, and performances), and ensures all activities are intellectually coherent, critically engaged, and aligned with the festival theme.
Curatorial Assistant(s)
- Support theme development, content review, and overall program coherence
- Assist with curating spaces to meet the needs of workshops, panels, performances, or exhibitions
- Ensure spaces are returned to their original condition
- Attend bi-weekly online meetings
- Be available the day before and day of the event for setup and teardown
Specific Roles Within Curation
- Program Selection Assistant(s) (Panels & Workshops): Review submissions and assist in session selection
- Call for Proposals (CFP) Coordinator: Manage CFP drafting, dissemination, and submission tracking
- Speaker & Facilitator Liaison: Communicate with panelists, workshop leaders, and performers
- Performance Curator Assistant: Support selection and coordination of artistic content
- Program Scheduling Assistant: Help structure sessions and ensure thematic flow
Accessibility & Care Team
The Accessibility & Care Team ensures the festival is inclusive, accessible, and supportive by addressing diverse needs and fostering a safe, welcoming environment.
Opportunities Include:
- Supporting logistics and mobility needs
- Coordinating language and interpretation
- Providing wellness and care support (quiet rooms, emotional support spaces)

Program & Public Engagement
This team develops and coordinates panels and workshops while fostering inclusive community participation.
(i) Program Coordination Team
- Program Assistants (Panels): Support session and speaker coordination
- Session Support & Timekeeping Volunteers: Ensure sessions run smoothly and on schedule
(ii) Public Engagement & Outreach Team
- Community Engagement Assistants: Build connections with student groups and community partners
- Outreach & Partnerships Assistant: Support collaboration with external organizations
- Audience Engagement Assistant: Design interactive elements (Q&A, discussions, participation activities)
- Registration & Participant Experience Assistant: Manage participant communication before and during the event

Treasurer
Role Overview:
The Treasurer is responsible for the financial stewardship of the festival, ensuring transparency, ethical budgeting, and alignment with accessibility and equity values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the festival budget
- Track income and expenses with accurate records
- Process reimbursements and payments
- Liaise with funding bodies and finance offices
- Prepare financial reports
- Ensure funds reflect feminist and anti-oppressive values
Skills & Qualities:
- Strong organizational and numerical skills
- Budgeting/bookkeeping experience (preferred)

Finance & Budget Assistant
Role Overview:
Supports the Treasurer in maintaining smooth and ethical financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track expenses and update budget documents
- Organize receipts and invoices
- Assist with reimbursements
