Convocation Ceremonies

Taking part in your convocation ceremony is a memorable occasion and we strongly encourage all graduating students to attend and celebrate this milestone with family and friends.

Information relevant to the ceremonies, including ceremony schedules, locations, how to register, ticket information, and more will be available here as it becomes available.

Your ceremony will be determined by the Faculty you will be graduating from as well as your degree and major.

Below is a summary of the 2026 Spring Convocation ceremony schedule. Your ceremony will be determined by the Faculty you will be graduating from as well as your degree and major. To determine your ceremony, use the ceremony search tool.

Please note that graduands will need to arrive 90 minutes before the start of the ceremony for robing and marshalling.

Completing the  will let the University know you are attending your ceremony and will ensure your robe rental is arranged. When you RSVP, you will also be able to claim your guest tickets. 

Invitations to convocation are typically sent 4 to 6 weeks prior to your ceremony.  The first round of invitations was sent in the first week of May and they will continue to be sent on an ongoing basis as students become potentially eligible to graduate. To check your graduation eligibility, please visit  page. If you are eligible to graduate but have not received your invitation, you may use the button below to RSVP. 

The deadline for students to RSVP is May 22, 2026

Please note that the graduand does not require a guest ticket to attend their convocation. The robe rental confirmation page acts as a student ticket to convocation.

Guest tickets can be claimed when graduands complete their online RSVP. Each guest requires a ticket to be admitted. Tickets are barcoded and can only be used once. Graduands will be able to claim up to 3 guest tickets. Availability of guest tickets may vary by ceremony and is dependent on capacity.

Children under the age of three (3) do not need a ticket if sharing a seat with the adult accompanying them.

If you require additional tickets, please complete the Extra Ticket Request form which can be found on the RSVP confirmation page after your complete your registration for your ceremony. Requests will be reviewed, and decisions will be communicated no later than June 4.  A request does not guarantee that you will be granted extra tickets, so we recommend that you do not make plans until you have received a decision from the Convocation Office. 

The name you provided when you applied to 91ÑÇÉ« is the default name that will appear on your diploma. If you have a chosen name and have already updated your Student Personal Information, then your chosen first name is what will appear on your diploma.

If you wish to update your chosen name to legal first name, please update your information using the .

Name changes must be submitted to the Registrar's Office by May 1, 2026. If you submit a name change after these deadline dates, you will have to order and pay for a replacement copy of your diploma.

One week prior to convocation, graduating students who RSVP'd to attend convocation will receive an email invitation from our partner to voice-record their name and provide the phonetic pronunciation of their name for their graduation ceremony. Recording your name on the NameCoach site will help ensure that it's announced or pronounced correctly at the ceremony.

If you would like a name different from the one printed on your diploma to be announced as you cross the stage, you may submit a request through the

The name you provide will be used for the stage announcement and will also appear on the display screen during your walkthrough at the ceremony.

We encourage students to submit their request in advance of their ceremony to ensure accurate processing.

Provided that your eligibility is received prior to the printing production deadline for convocation, you will receive the diploma/certificate you are entitled to on the day of your ceremony. You will be handed your diploma after you cross the stage, before you return to your seat. If you do not receive your diploma on stage, or if you have any questions, please visit the Diploma Help Desk inside the Grad Services tent after the ceremony.
