Last month, the 2024 World Health Assembly Simulation held their second annual simulation from May 1st to May 3rd at 91ɫ. This year's theme of the 2024 WHA SIM was “Toward a One Health Approach for Optimal Health Outcomes”.
This event was mirrored the format of the WHO's annual assembly in Geneva, offering students a hands-on learning experience in global health. They engaged in discussions of food security, climate change, and antimicrobial resistance. Participants honed their skills in collaboration, problem-solving, public speaking, debate, diplomacy, and policy writing. They also had the opportunity to hear from several global health experts at 91ɫ and special guest speaker Professor John Amuasi (Head and Senior Lecturer, Department of Global Health, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology).
