Megan George is a CIHR Canadian Graduate Scholar (CGS-M) and a Master's of Science Candidate at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto. She is passionately dedicated to unraveling the intricacies of psychological distress experienced by patients with advanced cancer. Her primary goal is to ensure these individuals have access to effective psychotherapeutic interventions, ultimately alleviating and preventing their distress.

Megan holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from 91ÑÇÉ« and has demonstrated her commitment to advancing global health through her role as the Research Coordinator for Canada's pioneering World Health Assembly (WHA) Simulation. This groundbreaking initiative empowers students to confront complex global health challenges through immersive and practical learning experiences. Megan stands as a steadfast advocate for global health equity, championing the belief that every individual, regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic status, should have equal access to quality healthcare services. By leveraging her academic pursuits and practical experiences, Megan is determined to contribute meaningfully to initiatives that promote fairness, inclusivity, and improved health outcomes for all communities, irrespective of their circumstances.
