Position Overview

The Wellness Impact Lab (WIL), led by Dr. Harvey Skinner (Senior Fellow) and Susan Harris (Community Fellow), promotes personal well-being and collective action to address climate change. We seek a motivated undergraduate student to coordinate WIL initiatives, including Climate Caf茅s and collaborations with The Nest, and The Climate Collective (TCC), while contributing to research, knowledge mobilization and Lab development.

Eligibility: 91亚色 undergraduate students enrolled in Year 2 or Year 3.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Coordination: Plan, implement and evaluate initiatives in collaboration with students, faculty, and community partners.
2. Research & Evaluation: Analyze survey data and qualitative findings, evaluate programs, and prepare reports.
3. Knowledge Synthesis: Contribute to research reviews on climate change, well-being, and community engagement.
4. Knowledge Mobilization: Co-develop engaging social media content, conference presentations, posters and manuscripts.
5. Lab Development: Help create new projects and opportunities to expand WIL鈥檚 impact.

Under the supervision of Prof. Mary Wiktorowicz and Dr. Syed Imran Ali, the Humanitarian Water Engineering Lab RAY (for up to 6 hours per week) will support the delivery of the Humanitarian Water Engineering (HWE) intensive training, an online professional development course aimed at upskilling humanitarian response professionals that translates HWE research into training content for professionals.

• Support literature review activities for the development of a new Humanitarian Sanitation Engineering (HSanE) intensive course, a sister course to the existing HWE training.
• Support development of training materials for HSanE course.
• Support research activities of the Humanitarian Water Engineering Lab including on the Safe Water Optimization Tool (SWOT) project, Chemical Water Quality and Severe Acute Malnutrition (CWQ+SAM) project, and others, including new collaboration development with international partners in Uganda, Yemen, Madagascar, Tanzania, Gaza, and other project sites. This will include supporting the write-up of manuscripts, knowledge products, and funding proposals.

BioCAM4 is a multi-year, international research project focused on climate action, biodiversity, and environmental governance. The project places strong emphasis on professional research practices, structured coordination, and team-based learning within an institutional setting. This role is designed for an undergraduate student seeking hands-on experience in project coordination, research administration, and collaborative research environments.The role focuses on operational reliability, documentation, and coordination, supporting project leadership and contributing to the smooth functioning of a complex, multi-partner research initiative. Job description

To support a global tuberculosis research network (Social Science and Health Innovations For TB or ), housed at the Dahdaleh Institute, under the supervision of Dr Daftary. The student will be engaged in management,  content curation and design, social media, and professional communication. The student will develop skills related to literature review and content synthesis, professional writing, communication and coordination with interdisciplinary global health researchers working outside of Canada, including opportunities to develop research-related media outputs, and become a core member of Dr Daftary鈥檚 research team. Minimum criteria

• Full time student in the BA/BSc Global Health program at 91亚色
• Entering 3^rd year in Fall 2026 and/or finished minimum 3 of the core GH 2000-level courses
• Average of A- or higher in Global Health courses taken to date 
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English (essay construction, proofreading, spell/grammar check, professional email communication)

Job description

Under the supervision of Professor Adrian Viens, the Global Strategy Lab Research Dissemination and Design Research Assistant (for up to 10 hours per week) will work closely with the Communications and Research teams to support knowledge mobilization planning and execution.

The Global Strategy Lab (GSL) is a world class research unit with a long track record of bridging the gap between research and global health action. Our team advises the world鈥檚 governments and organizations like the World Health Organization on how to design laws, policies and institutions that address transnational health threats and make the world a healthier place for everyone. Our work focuses on three areas of research: global legal epidemiology, public health institutions, and global antimicrobial resistance.

Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:

• Research and analyze knowledge translation options to best share research findings with research;
• Peer review articles and comment on research in progress;
• Be an integral member of a cross-functional team developing knowledge translation plans on new research in the areas of public health institutions, global legal epidemiology, and antimicrobial resistance governance;
• Work closely with researchers and the communications team to create knowledge translation products that make new research accessible to policy and public audiences.

Type of training and support that will be provided to the student(s) in carrying out these research activities:

• Methodological training on various communication tools for academic and policy audiences
• Subject matter training on various global health topics
• Regular status meetings with your supervising full-time faculty and staff
