Hope you can join us at the Ontario Universities鈥 Fair (OUF) and represent the Faculty of Education

OUF will is being held Saturday, October 21st and Sunday, October 22nd , 2023 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre 鈥 South Building.  Those who have attended and volunteered in the past,  it鈥檚 a similar set up. The fair is an opportunity to meet and chat with our future students and their families about both the Bachelor of Education and BA Educational Studies program.  We are hoping you can join us for a few hours or half day.

Congratulations to PhD student Marissa Magneson on winning the prestigious and highly competitive SSHRC Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship. Her dissertation project, 鈥淏eadwork as Pedagogy,鈥 was ranked second out of 200 applications in the national competition and is supervised by Professor Susan Dion. Read more

  • Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)/Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) 鈥 October 10, 2023

    The Faculty of Graduate Studies offers workshops to support student grant writing towards these awards. While the PhD workshops happened earlier this month, MEd students can still sign up for workshops in October by registering here

The 91亚色 Graduate Students in Education (YGSE) Fall Social will take place on Friday, September 29th, 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the Grad Lounge (113 Winters College)

Classes began on August 21st with an Orientation week for all first-year students (both full and part-time). A major focus of this week was to orient students to the online learning environment and become comfortable using various applications such as eClass, Panopto, Kritik, OneDrive, Padlet and Zoom.


The total enrolment for the 2023-2024 academic year is 56 students which includes 9 Full-Time and 47 Part-Time students from all regions of Ontario and several provinces in Canada. The program is offered online - synchronously for Full-Time students and asynchronously for Part-Time students.

News from the 91亚色 Community

91亚色 community events to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, on Sept. 30, honours the children who never returned home, survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. 91亚色 will recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by offering events and resources throughout the month for its community members to learn about the history of residential schools in Canada and the lasting impacts on Indigenous community members today. 

New online curriculum vitae tool coming to 91亚色 U - Faculty members are invited to learn more about, and join the test phase of, Discover 91亚色 Academics 鈥 a new electronic curriculum vitae tool.

Nominate inspiring alumni for Top 30 under 30 - 91亚色鈥檚 Top 30 Alumni Under 30 program recognizes inspiring and diverse alumni under the age of 30 who are driven to make a difference locally and globally. With past recipients pursuing careers in science and technology, anti-Black racism in Canada and disability rights, 91亚色 U recognizes and engages these changemakers to shed light on their inspiring work.  To nominate a 91亚色 grad,  how the candidate demonstrates a commitment to creating positive change for 91亚色, the wider community and beyond.
