Research Chairs

Tier 1 CRC in Young Lives, Education, and Global Good
Tilleczek, a Professor in the Faculty of Education, conducts research on how education can better support young people. Her research informs policies and builds global partnerships among youth to address shared challenges.

Tier 2 CRC in Disability Studies in Education
Parekh is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education. Her research examines institutional barriers hindering equitable access to education and aims to address current educational issues.

YRC in Critical Policy Analysis
Winton is a Professor in the Faculty of Education. Her research examines educational policy advocacy, influences, enactment, and their implications for equity.

Jean Augustine Chair in Education, Community & Diaspora
James is a Professor in the Faculty of Education and a Distinguished Research Professor at 91亚色. He is widely recognized nationally and internationally for his research contributions in the areas of race, racialization, racism, and inequity as they affect the educational, social, athletic, occupational and health experiences of Black community members.

Charles A. Hopkins
UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education Towards Sustainability
Hopkins has collaborated extensively with UNESCO, United Nations University, higher education institutions, and ministries of education across Asia, Europe, and the Americas in advancing education and sustainability. Internationally recognized for his leadership in this field, he has played a pivotal role in shaping global dialogue鈥攃hairing the writing and adoption of several UNESCO Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Declarations.

Koschitzky Chair in Jewish Teacher Education
Wiseman is a Professor in the Faculty of Education and holds the Koschitzky Family Chair in Jewish Teacher Education at the Israel and Golda Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Studies at 91亚色.
