Michael Kalu聽in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science in the Faculty of Health is among other 91亚色 researchers receiving the largest grants as SSHRC invests $9.3M in 91亚色-led social sciences, humanities research. Dr. Kalu has received $456,501 for research examining the needs of Black older adults and developing Afrocentric-informed strategies.

Yuka Nakamura, also in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science in the Faculty of Health has also received funding from SSHRC of $172,229. Dr. Nakamura's project is on Community and Connection: Understanding the Growth and Social Impact of Ethnic, Cultural and Religious Sport Organizations in Toronto.
