The events and initiatives in this broad ranging program are designed to assist you in your professional, personal, and academic development through programming like Beyond the Academy, Dissertation Accelerators, PhD Proposal Writing Workshops, Student & Alumni Mixers and other resources to support your journey.

Beyond the Academy
This five-week program is designed to help LA&PS Doctoral Students explore and prepare for non-academic careers. You'll learn about networking, building your online presence, and how to reflect on your personal and professional values.
PhD Proposal Writing Workshops
These workshops will help you outline your core research question, explain why the topic is important, and how to provide detailed information on the methods you will use to find answers.
Dissertation Accelerators
Working alongside the Writing Centre,聽these sessions are聽held each term and are聽designed to help graduate students make serious progress on their dissertations. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Graduate Student &聽Alumni Mixers聽give聽you the opportunity to speak with a wide range of alumni and explore career paths, ask聽questions聽and gain valuable insights into their focus areas.
