DARE Project: Optimal pricing and conditions for reverse mortgage lenders in Canada
Program(s) of Study: Bachelor of Commerce with Honours Spec. Finance
Project Supervisor: Nabil Tahani

This experience strengthened the research, quantitative modelling, and analytical skills I will need for graduate studies and a career in finance. It also confirmed my interest in using financial models to evaluate risk, support informed decisions, and develop practical solutions for the financial industry.

Project Description:

My DARE project focused on the quantitative modelling and fair pricing of reverse mortgages in Canada. I developed a model to assess the pricing and risks of reverse mortgages in Canada. The model combines mortality, interest-rate, and house-price data to project loan balances, property values, and lender exposure.
