I truly appreciated the dynamic nature of my DARE experience. I was fortunate to be exposed to a wide variety of research tasks, which kept the work consistently engaging and stimulating. I always felt like I was learning and growing. I was also given a fair amount of independence, which was intimidating at first, but it ultimately helped me build confidence in my abilities and become more self-reliant in a research setting.
Project Description:
My research project focuses on identifying and understanding the labour management technologies increasingly utilized in the healthcare sector, evaluating the associated risks, and promoting the effective regulation of these systems through collective bargaining. Over the summer, I worked with my team to develop and code survey questions, interview hospital employees and administration, and analyze the resulting data.The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) - Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members.
