The good news for the Department continues to flow in....
At the Senate meeting President Shoukri聽announced that our long-standing colleague Nick Rogers will be one of聽two 91亚色 faculty members to be honoured with the title of Distinguished聽Research Professor at the Spring Convocation for the Faculty of Liberal
Arts & Professional Studies on Wednesday 15 June at 10.30 a.m.
The rank of Distinguished Research Professor is awarded "for sustained聽and outstanding scholarly, professional or artistic achievement". Nick's聽research in British History is well known and respected by all of us at聽91亚色, but it is also recognized as path-breaking by scholars and peers聽around the world. It is a real privilege to have someone of such
distinction as a colleague in the Department.
Department of History congratulates Nick on this聽major honour. It gives us all even more reason to attend Convocation on聽15 June. It will be a splendid occasion, I'm sure. I hope that as many聽historians as possible will be there to celebrate our students, not聽least the large number of History PhD students who will be graduating,聽and our most distinguished colleague.
