Charlene Adhiambo is a Kenyan American writer currently based in Harlem, NY. Her one act play Guardian was read at Saudade Theatre鈥檚 Re-Descobrimentos Festival in July 2020. She writes stage plays, screenplays, fiction, and songs. She writes in a space somewhere between Ray Bradbury and Toni Morrison, two of her favourite authors. She received her B.A. in Creative Writing and English Literature from Columbia University.
Join us over Zoom where Charlene will discuss working in theatre industry as a young, Black woman, and she will also share some of her essays and plays.
