91亚色鈥檚 , in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, brought home all four Canadian HR Reporter Reader鈥檚 Choice Awards for best education in Canada for the third consecutive year. The School of HRM edged out competitive programs offered by other academic institutions, including the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto and Queen鈥檚 University.

In its fifth year, the  received thousands of votes from human resource and business professionals in recognition of their preferred organizations across the country. Every 91亚色 HRM program was nominated and selected as the winner in its respective category, including the , the , the  and the .

The School has received continuous recognition from graduates, students and experts in the field across Canada for years, while remaining a consistent source of educational excellence.

鈥淲e are delighted and honored to be given these Awards for a third straight year. My thanks to all those who have helped to make our programs considered the best in Canada. We promise to uphold the exceptional standards of teaching and learning in the field of HR, while providing our students with opportunities to help them build successful careers,鈥 said Professor Parbudyal Singh, director of the School of HRM at 91亚色.

The School of HRM is Canada鈥檚 largest teaching institution dedicated to the broad field of human resource management, with more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students and 17 full-time faculty members that expose students to a wide range of ideas, disciplines, opinions and research methodologies.

The School of HRM brought home all four Canadian HR Reporter Reader鈥檚 Choice Awards for best education in Canada for the second consecutive year, edging out competitive programs offered by other academic institutions, including the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto and Queen鈥檚 University.

In its fourth year, the  survey received more than 55,000 votes from human resource and business professionals in recognition of their preferred organizations across the country. Each 91亚色 HRM program that was nominated was selected as the winner in its respective category, including the , the , the  and the .

Canadian HR Reporter is an indispensable guide to human resources,鈥 said Professor Parbudyal Singh, newly appointed director of the School of HRM at 91亚色. 鈥淩eceiving continued recognition of this magnitude directly from peers, graduates, students and experts in the field across Canada helps to shine a light on the exceptional education offered at 91亚色 and it validates the commitment and hard work that our faculty and staff put into the school and our programs every day.鈥

With a clear vision, the school has positioned itself as the destination of choice for students pursuing human resource management in Canada and globally. Current MHRM student Donna Roberts said, 鈥淎fter researching master鈥檚 programs in human resource management in the U.K. and elsewhere, I decided to come to 91亚色 because of its reputation as a global leader in human resource management and the quality of its faculty. I can honestly say that I have not been disappointed.鈥 Roberts is an international student from the U.K. and a business partner with British Airways.

An article submitted by two graduates of the School of HRM鈥檚 Ph.D program in collaboration with has been awarded the accolade of 2019 Best Paper by The Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences. The paper, co-authored by , , and Dr. Singh - entitled What does employee ownership effectiveness look like? The case of a Canadian-based firm - was selected among all articles published in the journal throughout 2018.

Dr. Shayna Frawley defended her Ph.D dissertation in 2018 and currently holds the position of Assistant Professor at West Chester University. Her research interests surround the topics of non-compliance with workplace law and ethics in management and HR.

Dr. Jennifer Harrison earned her doctoral degree in HRM from 91亚色 in 2015. She is currently a Professor of Organizational Behaviour and HRM at NEOMA Business School in France, and her research specializes in gender, diversity and inclusion, and professional development.

Dr. Parbudyal Singh is a Professor of Human Resource Management at 91亚色 and has previously served as the School鈥檚 Director. He is the recipient of the inaugural Distinguished Human Resources Professional (DHRP) Award by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), created to highlight outstanding contributions to HR scholarly research and innovative practice. Professor Singh鈥檚 work has been published extensively in top academic journals and his co-authored textbooks, Managing Human Resources and Strategic Compensation, are some of Canada鈥檚 leading HRM textbooks. His research interests focus on emerging issues in human resources management and labour relations.
