Executive Team

Oluwajuwon Olofe (President)
Hello!聽My name is Oluwajuwon, but you can call me Juwon. I鈥檓 a student in Law & Society, and I joined SCOLAPS because I鈥檓 passionate about student governance and excited to make a positive impact in our community.聽
Through this role, I aim to contribute to key decisions and advocate for the needs of students, whether academic, professional, or social. One of my main goals is to help build a stronger sense of community among LA&PS students and create spaces where we can all learn, grow, and support each other.
Fun Fact: I love exploring new things, and I also play the piano!

Riwon Kim (Vice-President Governance)
Hi everyone. I'm Riwon Kim! I am in my third year in criminology. I am excited to play the role as the vice-president of governance this year. Throughout my studies, I've been developing a strong interest in how law, justice, and human rights intersect with everyday life, and I'm looking forward to bringing that perspective into my work on the team. I value collaboration, transparency, and creating spaces where everyone feels heard, and I hope to contribute to building a supportive and engaged community. I'm really looking forward to working with all of you and making this a meaningful year together!

Maryam Tahir (Vice-President Internal)
Hi, I am Maryam, a Bachelor of Commerce student, and I am excited to be part of Scolaps so that I can amplify student voices in spaces that matter and contribute to a positive change. A fun fact about me is that I am a henna artist.

Manal Malik (Vice-President External)
Hi! I鈥檓 Manal, a fourth-year Business Technology Management student. I genuinely love what I study, especially getting to work on group projects and collaborate with others. I moved to Canada from Karachi, Pakistan when I was 12, and that experience really shaped my perspective and empathy. I chose business tech because I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone, and it鈥檚 led me to discover a passion for blending creativity, strategy, and people. Outside of school, I love watching movies, spending time with my cats, and picking up new hobbies just for the fun of it.

Reshad (Director of Student Support)
Hi I am Reshad, in the program of Public administration. I am excited to be part of Scolaps, so I can listen to student issues and support in the process of resolving student concerns. A fun fact about me is that I wrote a constitution for a student club.聽

Julia Eskandar (Director of Awards)
Hi, my name is Julia! I鈥檓 the current Director of Awards, but in the previous school year I served as the Department of Politics representative on SCOLAPS. I have always been passionate about understanding how systems work while also being a voice within those systems.
As a Politics major my love and understanding of the systems that run both our countries and global affairs has drawn me into understanding how more local institutions run. Being on SCOLAPS has allowed me to understand the nature of my school, courses and instated rules within 91亚色.
After I complete my BA I have the desire of going into the legal field to truly have an effect on the systems around me while using my understanding of law to aid those who are unable to understand it themselves.

Najat Sassine (Coordinator of Administration)
Hello! My name is Najat, I am the current Coordinator of Administration on SCOLAPS! I am in my last year of the Financial and Business Economics Honours Program which is a bit funny whenever I remember that I wanted to study Forensic Science until I came to the realization that my love for Chemistry does not cancel out my hate for Biology. Recently whenever I get a break from academics, I have been watching deep dives of FNAF and Resident Evil lore and gameplay.

Gigi Rupakheti (Events Coordinator)聽
Hello everyone! My name is Gigi and I am the event director for SCOLAPS this year. I love everything about events, from conceptualizing to executing events for students. I am a fourth year cognitive science student, and I am also the philosophy department representative for the council as well! When I am not at school, I like spending time with friends and reading! I look forward to a great year in LAPS and everyone enjoys what SCOLAPS has to offer!聽聽

Fizzah Ansar (Co-ordinator of Promotions)聽
Hello! My name is Fizzah, and I鈥檓 a 4th year Business Economics student who recently moved to Ontario from Alberta, and while it鈥檚 been exciting getting used to a new place and scenery, I definitely miss seeing the mountains on my way to school and work everyday. This year, I鈥檓 really excited to be a part of SCOLAPS as the Coordinator of Promotions, where I get to explore my creative slide and help bring our events to life. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends, watching true crime documentaries (I'm always going to have one on in the background at home no matter what I鈥檓 doing) , working out, and trying out new places to eat. I鈥檓 looking forward to meeting more people and making this a fun and memorable year.
