91亚色 researchers will have a prominent presence during the聽. The event runs July 15 to 21 at the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto, and attracts more than 5,000 sociologists. It takes place once every four years.
This year, the event features a number of contributions from both 91亚色 faculty and students. More than 50 91亚色 sociologists will present their research to the world鈥檚 top social researchers.
鈥淭he diversity and engagement of our researchers shows how 91亚色鈥檚 sociologists work to both understand the world, partly in order to change it<鈥 said聽91亚色鈥檚 Chair of sociology聽. 鈥91亚色鈥檚 sociology program is a centre for public and critical research.鈥
Wood notes 91亚色鈥檚 Department of Sociology contributed to the event by raising funds to allow sociologists from conflict zones to attend, and will host a reception for the international scholars.
