Alumni Board

The MIAB/MFAc Alumni Board provides valuable engagement opportunities for MFAc alumni to collaborate with the MFAc internship Advisory Board (MIAB), MFAc students and MFAc faculty to connect with each other and students through a wide range of initiatives including supporting MFAc program related to networking, mentorship, professional development, recognition and community engagement.

Mike is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Accountant with 30 years of experience in both accounting and Business. Mike holds masters in Financial Accountability from 91ÑÇÉ«, and finished the CPA Indepth Tax course (3 years program). Mike was raised in his family business (3rd generation) which made him close to the decision making process and introduced him to the business environment at a very early age. That complimented with his Bachelor of Commerce major Accounting, and Law studies. Mike is experienced as an accountant and controller with large companies starting from Liquid Carbonic, Shoppers Drug Mart, Roots Canada, The Salvation Army and T.B.G. Being part of the management team of these very strong and successful companies made Mike an experienced business man with very solid and valuable advice that he offers expertly. Mike has his own CPA public practice firm.

Felix Otu is a finance and risk management professional with over a decade of experience in corporate finance, governance, and regulatory compliance. He currently serves as Finance Administrator at Frontenac Youth Services and continues to support international trade and ESG initiatives as Treasurer of the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce. A dedicated mentor and educator, Felix coaches MFAc students on leveraging LinkedIn and professional networks through 91ÑÇɫ’s FACC6850 Practicum (Co-Op) program. He holds a Master of Financial Accountability (MFAc) from 91ÑÇÉ« and an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana. During his time at 91ÑÇÉ«, he served as Graduate Student President and Internship Contact Coordinator. Felix is passionate about mentorship, systems thinking, and creating pathways for professional growth and community impact.

Sameen is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with more than a decade of experience in financial, management and regulatory reporting. He has driven process re-engineering and change management extensively within the finance space. His collaborative leadership has been effective in team building and stakeholder management.

Sameen started his career in Canada with RBC Capital Markets as Manager, Performance Management under the Wholesale Finance Team. He also worked for Dhaka Bank in Bangladesh over a decade in various capacities within Finance. In his current role as Manager, Corporate Segment Finance at TD, he works as a Financial Controller for Data & AI. 

Sameen is an MFAc alumni and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom. He also holds an MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University. He is a bookworm, quote collector, chess enthusiast and likes to play the guitar.

Finance professional with four years of industry experience, including over three years specializing in payment investigations. AML-certified with strong due diligence expertise, deep understanding of transaction monitoring, and the ability to identify complex irregularities. Known for working above and beyond assigned responsibilities, demonstrating strong ownership, accountability, and commitment to high-quality outcomes. Highly logical and analytical thinker with excellent judgment, enabling effective problem-solving, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement.

Parmis Moghadamian is a Toronto-based professional with a background in finance, operations, shareholder advisory, and strategic project support. She has worked across different sectors and countries, gaining experience in research, client communication, and managing complex workflows for diverse teams.

Parmis earned her Master of Financial Accountability from 91ÑÇÉ«, a program that shaped her understanding of corporate governance, ethics, transparency, and thoughtful decision making. Her work with organizations in both Canada and abroad has strengthened her global perspective and adaptable approach to problem solving. Parmis is proud to stay connected to 91ÑÇɫ’s community and enjoys contributing to the alumni network.

Andres is an industrial engineer and finance professional who currently serves as Director of Financial and Engineering Operations at Signifi Solutions Inc., where he reports directly to the CFO and CEO and leads inter-departmental teams across finance, engineering, and operations. In this role, he owns and manages the company’s ERP system, designing end-to-end processes for costing, pricing, financial reporting, and operational analytics. His work includes budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and automated executive reporting for senior leadership and the board.

Before Signifi, Andres held process engineering and financial management roles where he focused on operational controls, performance measurement, and data-driven decision-making. Earlier in his career, he worked in banking and treasury operations, supporting FX and derivatives trading with analytical and technical tools. His background combines hands-on financial accountability with practical experience building real-world reporting systems that must withstand operational and audit scrutiny.
