© J. van Wijngaarden 2024 91ÑÇÉ« University recognizes that many Indigenous Nations have longstanding relationships with the territories upon which 91ÑÇÉ« University campuses are located that precede the establishment of 91ÑÇÉ« University. 91ÑÇÉ« ±«²Ô¾±±¹±ð°ù²õ¾±³Ù²â a³¦°ì²Ô´Ç·É±ô±ð»å²µ±ð²õ its presence on the traditional territory of many Indigenous Nations. The area known as Tkaronto has been care taken by the Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and the Huron-Wendat. It is now home to many First Nation, Inuit and ²Ñé³Ù¾±²õ communities. °Â±ð a³¦°ì²Ô´Ç·É±ô±ð»å²µ±ð the current treaty holders, the Mississaugas of ³Ù³ó±ð C°ù±ð»å¾±³Ù First Nation. This territory is subject of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement to peaceably share and care for the Great Lakes region.
