Learning, Research & Employment Opportunities

YU-CARE offers several learning and professional development opportunities for students at all levels of studies.

Learning Opportunities

YU-CARE members have developed a Cross-Disciplinary Certificate in Aging for students at the 3000 and 4000 level in a program offered by the Faculty of Health. The Certificate, to be completed concurrent to a Health undergraduate degree, offers learning experiences from a range of disciplines (including Kinesiology and Health Science, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).

Research Opportunities

The YU-CARE Trainee network provides graduate students an opportunity to network with and be mentored by post-doctoral researchers studying aging from a variety of perspectives. Trainee students benefit from research events such as symposiums and workshops, as well as skills development sessions.

The Canadian Association on Gerontology - Student Connection offers resources for students who want to learn more about aging related research opportunities and events.
