What is a Bethune Ambassador?
Bethune Ambassadors are student leaders and front-line representatives of Bethune College at 91راة«. As the “face†of Bethune College, they support a welcoming, inclusive, and informed community by connecting students with college services, university resources, and campus opportunities.
Applications for the FW2026-27 year are open from June 19th-July 3rd!
Responsibilities?
Office Hours
- Attend a minimum of two scheduled office hour shifts per week at the Bethune College information kiosk
- Communicate absences to the BA Coordinator(s) at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible
- Welcome students and visitors in a professional, approachable, and inclusive manner
- Provide accurate directions, respond to general inquiries, and refer students to appropriate college and university resources
- Support students in accessing academic, wellness, accessibility, financial, and other campus support services
Class Announcements
- Deliver in-class announcements promoting Bethune College programs and PASS services
- Act as a liaison between students and instructors by communicating questions, concerns, and feedback to the College
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment through positive representation of Bethune College
Social Events
- Staff the Bethune College information kiosk and support BC 208 staff during Academic Orientation Day (AOD) and other major events
- Maintain a visible, approachable, and professional presence at Bethune College events and activities
- Support the coordination and delivery of alumni panels and student engagement events
Media & Marketing
- Collaborate with the Media Assistant to support the development of social media content
- Capture photos and share event highlights to promote Bethune College initiatives
Represent Bethune College professionally across social media platforms
Who Can Be a Bethune Ambassador?
This role is ideal for students who are passionate about community engagement, leadership, and peer support.
Applicants must:
- Be current undergraduate students affiliated with Bethune College
- Be enrolled in either the Faculty of Science or the Lassonde School of Engineering (Bethune College membership applies to students in these faculties)

Mandatory Orientation and Training
- Bethune Ambassador Training (offered on several dates)
- BC 3000 0.0 Introduction to Peer Leadership (if not already completed)
