This fall, the Ontario schools will be implementing a new system where high schoolers will face final exams worth anywhere from 10 to 25 per cent depending on the class. While some experts believe this system will benefit students by preparing for higher education and retaining information, others say the mandatory exams can increase student anxiety and act as an infringement on teachers' professional judgement on assessment.
