Department of Communication & Media Studies professor Shirley Roburn discusses her research with the Wildlife Conservation Society of Canada

Shirley Roburn, assistant professor in the Department of Communication & Media Studies (CMDS), is featured in an interview with the Wildlife Conservation Society of Canada. In the interview, Roburn discusses her work during the Weston Family Boreal Research Fellowship, the importance of grassroots storytelling for keeping environmental movements alive and her current research within CMDS.

Shirley Roburn holds her PhD in Communication Studies from Concordia University. Her research interests include environmental advocacy, Indigenous storytelling, grassroots storytelling, media studies, environmental justice, human rights and food security.
