Scholar's Hub: Fostering Early Health Literacy with Children's Literature

Join the Scholar's Hub for an in-person event at the Aurora Public Library! This session will explore how children’s literature can promote early health literacy, spark curiosity about nursing, and empower young readers to make healthy choices. Drawing from her experience as a public health nurse and educator, Aldona Nowak will share the inspiration behind The Health Adventures of Nurse Priya: A Story About a Public Health Nurse and Her Community and discuss how storytelling can bring public health, education, and community wellness to life for children.
