What is the World Health Assembly Simulation?
The School of Global Health's World Health Assembly (WHA) Simulation is modelled on the World Health Organization鈥檚 annual World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. Its goal is to enhance collaborative governance skills in addressing global challenges, like the . Through debates, research briefs and formal resolutions, students develop and test innovative solutions related to the simulation theme. This groundbreaking initiative helps students build skills in research, collaboration, debate, diplomacy and policy writing. The simulation provides a learning experience in global health and helps students build knowledge and skills in collaboration and decision-making across sectors and regions.
As of 2025-26 academic year, the WHA Simulation is offered as a fourth-year undergraduate course () and a graduate-level course (GH 6200). Students from across the Faculty of Health can enroll in the course and spend a full term engaged in experiential learning.
