The Ontario Co-operative Education Tax Credit helps employers offset the cost of hiring registered co-op students through a refundable tax credit (25-30% up to a maximum of $3,000 per placement).

SWPP
Employers can access wage subsidies to support hiring post-secondary students in paid placements related to their field of study. Employers can access 50% of a student's wages, up to a maximum of $5,000 per placement.

Mitacs Business Strategy Internships (BSI) connects employers with post-secondary co-op students who can help tackle business challenges and drive innovation in areas such as operations, marketing, finance and process improvement. Through funding support from Mitacs BSI, organizations can access skilled talent to develop new strategies, improve services and advance innovation while providing meaningful work-integrated learning experiences. Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) helps employers hire youth aged 15 to 30 through wage subsidies that offset the cost of creating quality summer employment opportunities. Eligible employers can receive funding to support student and youth hires, gain access to motivated talent and provide meaningful work experiences that help young people develop valuable career skills.
