Employer Information Sessions

Hosting an Employer Information Session is a great way to showcase your organization and promote your career opportunities to a targeted student audience. This is an opportunity to have their dedicated attention, share information in a presentation format and answer questions about your companies recruitment process.

To book a session, please complete the Employer Recruitment Session form.

You must book at least two weeks in advance of your desired date.  Sessions that take place on-campus, can be booked in the months of September, October, early November, January, February and early March.

°ä´Ç²õ³Ù: $200.00

By selecting this package, your organization will:

  • Have flexibility. Work with a representative at the Co-op & Career Centre to set up a recruitment session either in-person or virtually.
  • Increase awareness for your brand. Be promoted to students through weekly newsletters, social media, Faculty focused email campaigns, displays on campus LCD screens, announcements during workshops and on-campus activities and posted to the 91ÑÇÉ« Events Calendar / Co-op & Career Centre student portal.
  • Make connections. Collect student registrations prior to the day of the session.

Once your session is scheduled, the Co-op & Career Centre will assist you with event promotions and student registrations.

We recommend that your information session includes a short 20-30 minute presentation followed by networking or an open question and answer period

Your presentation to students should include:

  • Information about your organization and company culture
  • The types of positions you are hiring for and the qualifications required.  (We recommend you post the available positions on our on-line job posting system)
  • Important recruitment dates and timelines (for application deadlines, interviews, and job offers)
  • We encourage bringing hiring Managers and/or 91ÑÇÉ« Alumni to speak.  Our students can connect well with and relate to our Alumni.
  • Spend the remainder of your session networking and getting to know our students
  • For virtual sessions, the Co-op & Career Centre uses Zoom, which is specifically designed for protected video conferencing that complies with high standards of encryption. However, there are still potential risks, as with many other types of technology, including interruptions, unauthorized access and technical difficulties.
